The most easily recognized War Horse was from the Middle Ages. These were developed from the 8th century and were of a heavy cob type, very useful for carrying knights in heavy armor. Some of today’s modern breeds, such as the Hanoverian and Holstein can be traced back to these early War Horses. Many were highly prized and honored by their owners and can be found in paintings, writings and engravings throughout history. Measures 14" long.
